Dear Friends, I have been working with the Nepali aid organisation, Beilngries, for quite some time. The aid projects include the construction of schools in different regions in Nepal, health posts, an orphanage with 39 orphans and half-orphans, a teaching workshop for tailors, five ambulances and a school for higher education. Amongst other things, I have supported the construction of a school in Thulosirubari, a small village about 74km northeast (3 to 4 hours’ drive) of the Nepali capital, Kathmandu. The school has four classes and six more classes are currently being built. On 30th May 2009, the school in Thulosirubari was inaugurated. Many children are now also able to visit the school and additional teachers have been employed. Ralf and I were able to take part in the inauguration celebration of the school. The good thing about these projects is that every donated cent goes directly to the projects of Nepal Aid. There are no administration or other costs involved. And all people, who work for Nepal Aid, do it on a voluntary basis.
